The guided excursion will take you from Chora, Ios Village, by bus to the Bronze age (3rd millenium BC) settlement of Skarkos the biggest of its kind in the Cyclades.
Having toured the ancient site, we continue to the east coast of the island by bus, where the ruins of the Venetian fortress are situated, spectacularly above the blue Aegean, locally known as Paliokastro.
We then visit the pretty fishing village of Psathi where lunch is provided at Alonistra, a traditional family run taverna, which uses amazing, locally grown produce. (Lunch is included in the price with wine or soft drinks)
You can spend the rest of the afternoon bathing at this idyllic beach before returning to Chora. This tour departs every Friday, from the main bus stop in Chora.
